Whole Foods Market is hiring a Store Support Supervisor (Customer Service, Front End Support) for a full-time role. This leadership position supports the Store Support Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) in managing day-to-day operations, supervising team members, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction while maintaining Whole Foods Market's standards and values.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Store Support Supervisor, you will oversee Store Support Team Members, assist with scheduling, and ensure smooth departmental flow. You will also support training, problem resolution, and operational excellence across the store.
- Guide and delegate responsibilities to the Store Support Team Members.
- Work alongside the Team Trainer to train and support new Team Members by utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and order on shelves and cases, ensuring they are stocked and rotated as necessary.
- Handle customer issues with politeness and effectiveness.
- Monitor performance, staff attendance, and team concerns; relay any problems to leadership promptly.
- Preserve exceptional retail execution quality while exemplifying the core values ingrained within Whole Foods Market.
- Establish an atmosphere that prioritizes teamwork, honor, and a sense of positivity among team members.
- Offer support to team members by providing performance feedback, evaluations, and assistance in their development.
- Keep customer demands in mind and guide staff to ensure outstanding service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and regulatory criteria.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in the procedures and policies of the Store Support team.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leadership and team building, along with a proven track record of making effective decisions.
- Proficient in product details and staying updated on newly launched products.
- Involvement in regulatory and safety compliance with adherence to legal requirements and safety practices.
- Skilled in operating Microsoft Office programs, email services, and applications for effective job performance.
- Advanced mathematical proficiency vital for optimizing financial performance and supervising inventory effectively.
- More than one year of experience in retail.
Workload Expectations and Environmental Factors:
- Able to raise items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously for 6 to 8 hours during each work shift.
- Perform actions such as flexing, turning, squatting, and stretching.
- Comfortable working in wet, cool, and hot environments.
- Follow FDA-approved guidelines by using appropriate cleaning chemicals as needed.
- Willingness to work during unconventional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Competency in utilizing implements and equipment like carton cutters, pallet carriers, and robust machinery.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The pay range is $20.00 $25.10 hourly, proportionate to the candidate's expertise.
