Overnight Stock Clerk

Job Summary of Overnight Stock Clerk:

Tasks include overseeing the pricing, stocking, and rotation of items in the grocery department, ensuring shelves are neat, products are well-supplied, and labels are accurate to provide customers with a pleasant shopping experience.

Responsibilities of Overnight Stock Clerk:

• Help with the unloading of the merchandise is required.
• Convey stock items to designated storage zones.
• Open containers and accurately assign prices to each item.
• Adhere to the tag allocations when restocking store shelves to maintain inventory levels.
• Assist in organizing store presentations.
• Monitor the rotation of perishable merchandise and eliminate any products exceeding their expiration.
• Monitor the level of damaged items.
• Make certain that the assigned section is adequately organized prior to concluding your scheduled work shift.
• Abide by the established policies and procedures for each department.
• Provide a cordial welcome to individuals entering the store and stay observant of their behavior.
• Observe the regulations established by the company in terms of dress code to project a neat and professional image.
• Observe and respect all company regulations as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
• Safeguarding and maintenance of pricing strategy.
• Upkeep of the sales and backroom sections.
• Support front-of-house services when the need arises.

Qualifications of Overnight Stock Clerk:

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
• Must have the ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks in the grocery aisles for proper storage. The top racking process may be 20% of the time working in the aisles during the shift.
• Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
