Grocery Clerks

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring grocery merchandise is properly stocked, organized, and maintained throughout the store. The position emphasizes product freshness, inventory rotation, and excellent customer service while supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Stock and organize merchandise on shelves, displays, coolers, and freezers in a clean, neat, and timely manner.
• Monitor product quality, rotate inventory using first-in, first-out procedures, and ensure freshness.
• Receive and unload deliveries, verify accuracy, and store products in designated areas.
• Maintain merchandising standards and assist in building attractive displays.
• Assist with price changes, return overstock to stockrooms, and report damaged or missing merchandise.
• Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously, supporting a positive shopping experience.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Report safety hazards, refrigeration failures, or other operational issues to management.
• Assist front-end operations during busy periods and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum age of 16 (18 to operate compactor) with authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and follow instructions accurately.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 500 lbs, and perform other tasks as required.
• Ability to prioritize workload, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with team members.
• Previous retail or grocery experience is preferred but not required.
