Forklift Operator

Company Overview:

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Forklift Operator (DC Putaway Driver) to join our Distribution Center team. In this role, you will use a forklift to perform all functions related to the putaway (reserve storage) process as assigned by the warehouse management system (EXE). You will play a vital part in maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency in product handling, supporting our commitment to quality and operational excellence.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Forklift Operator, you will ensure the safe, accurate, and timely storage of products while upholding Whole Foods Market's safety and quality standards.

• Arrive to work on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready for scheduled shifts.
• Comply with all applicable state health and safety codes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary operating environment.
• Operate powered pallet jacks and forklifts in accordance with OSHA and Whole Foods Market regulations.
• Follow all safety regulations and immediately report accidents or injuries to leadership.
• Ensure all product is secure and safe prior to putaway.
• Maintain equipment properly and report issues as needed.
• Accurately perform putaways as directed by the warehouse management system (EXE) and Receiving leadership.
• Report issues regarding the letdown process to Inventory Control and Receiving leadership.
• Attend all team and facility meetings.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to operate necessary equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Commitment to meeting customer service expectations in all interactions with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to complete tasks thoroughly, accurately, and on time with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with an electric/motorized ride-on standing pallet jack and forklifts.
• Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently with little supervision.
• Ability to deliver clear and concise information to team members.
• Compliance with all Whole Foods Market policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with voice systems is a plus.
• Positive team-player attitude with strong accountability and responsibility.

Compensation and Benefits:

The wage range for this position is $24.50 $41.65 per hour, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers “Whole Benefits,” which may include:
