Job Summary:Pharmacy Manager
The Pharmacy Manager is expected to spearhead the formation of a patient-oriented pharmacy staff that excels in meeting the needs of patients, ensuring their safety, accuracy, and prompt care to attain the best possible outcomes for patients, team members, and the organization as a whole.
Job Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have between one and three years of experience, with at least one year specifically in the field of pharmacy, including at least three months of licensed pharmacist practice
- Preferred qualifications include having previous experience in a supervisory capacity
- Attainment of a Bachelor's Degree is necessary for this role
- Pharmacy professionals are expected to have specific qualifications such as immunization certification and licensure, along with a current CPR certification and an NPI registration
- Mandatory weight lifting: Not exceeding 25 pounds
Major Duties:
- Supervise and actively take part in the safe and smooth delivery of all patient prescriptions through compliance with all quality assurance guidelines.
- Showcase exceptional patient care by honoring, involving, and wholeheartedly addressing every patient's needs, such as offering guidance and resolving challenges promptly.
- Carry out the tasks involved in being a Pharmacist, which encompass interpreting, dispensing, and renewing prescriptions for medications and durable medical equipment, assessing all clinical aspects of the prescription, updating patient information, and confirming that patients are provided with precise medications and durable medical equipment.
- Illustrate commitment to upholding company, state, and federal regulations by offering coaching and real-life instances.
- Improve the quality of care and interaction with patients and staff through strategic planning of schedules, delegation of responsibilities, and prudent management of resources.
- Supervise inventory management through the observation of daily summaries, conducting regular physical counts, and ensuring the correct handling of medicines and resources to meet patient demands and optimize revenue.
- Coordinate efforts with the Supermarket team members, like the Pharmacy District Leader, Corporate Pharmacy team, Store Leader, and Regional Business Leader, to enhance effectiveness and boost financial success.
- Oversee and direct the selection, instruction, growth, appraisal, acknowledgment, and empowerment of personnel to ensure ongoing involvement and enhancement of departmental operations.
- Ensure a tidy and hygienic workspace that aligns with the guidelines established by the organization and regulatory authorities.
- Assess and interpret the relevant service and business indicators to assist in formulating plans for improving performance.
- Finalize all mandatory audits and paperwork
- Maintain close supervision and offer coaching and constructive criticism to team members in line with relevant policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that is beneficial for the morale and productivity of all employees.
- Deliver vaccinations and take an active role in clinical care to improve patient and business performance.
- Provide guidance and support in training and developing new team members within the Pharmacy Lead position to ensure successful execution of all company initiatives and programs.
- Keep yourself informed and abreast of recent pharmaceutical industry innovations, drugs, and therapies.
- Preserve a high level of professional competency and service abilities while championing progressive developments in the pharmacy industry for the betterment of patient well-being and business success.
- Foster ongoing connections with external collaborators like physicians, nurses, and vendors to enhance partnerships.
- Fulfill the obligations of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
