Sanitation Worker

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Sanitation Worker, you will provide essential maintenance services to support store operations. You will handle cleaning, repairs, and upkeep tasks across all departments while ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

• Provide excellent maintenance service and support all teams with cleaning projects.
• Perform all duties on the daily and weekly maintenance lists.
• Conduct minor repairs and improvements as needed.
• Participate in ordering supplies required for store maintenance.
• Respond to cleaning emergencies quickly and effectively.
• Maintain landscaping and parking lot areas.
• Perform continual cleaning of all store departments.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and attend required trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Experience:

• No prior retail experience required.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing/walking for 6 8 hours per workday.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Work in varied temperatures: below 32°F (freezer), 32 40°F (refrigerators), and above 90°F.
• Ability to work in wet and cold environments.
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery.
