Role and Responsibilities:

The Cake Decorator (Floater) is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous, prompt service, maintaining consistent operating conditions, and fostering a friendly atmosphere. The primary responsibility of this role is to decorate cakes and other baked goods according to customer requests, ensuring all products meet quality and presentation standards. The Floater will be required to travel to various store locations and assist in the decoration process. Key responsibilities include:

• Customer Service (40%): Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner. Provide continuous attention to customer needs, offer product suggestions, and ensure customer satisfaction by decorating products per requests.
• Product Preparation & Decoration (40%): Decorate cakes, cookies, and baked goods according to customer requests and production guidelines. Proof products for quality assurance, fulfill customer orders, stock and rotate baked goods, and maintain a clean, organized decoration area.
• Operational Excellence (20%): Receive and unload deliveries, operate bakery equipment safely, report hazards, maintain stock efficiency, and follow all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to travel at least 80% of the time (for Floater position).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Compliance with all Southeastern Grocers policies and procedures.

• High standard of integrity and reliability.
• Ability to distinguish color and contrast.
• Prior experience in cake decoration or baking.
