Merchandise Associate

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support the execution of store sales strategies and coordinate merchandising initiatives for the Produce, Meat/Seafood, and Deli/Bakery departments. Your focus will be on meeting sales objectives and creating a positive shopping experience by addressing operational challenges. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with district and store teams to effectively implement sales plans
• Partner with Corporate Merchandising to align divisional strategies and initiatives
• Oversee the planning and execution of divisional sales initiatives
• Identify and resolve issues affecting customer satisfaction, including shopping convenience, product variety, freshness, cleanliness, pricing, regulatory compliance, and food safety
• Support the training and development of team members to achieve and exceed business goals
• Demonstrate and uphold Kroger's values of respect, integrity, honesty, diversity, inclusion, and safety

Essential Requirements and Background:

• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
• Ability to design and implement merchandising and sales strategies
• Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges impacting customer satisfaction
• Leadership skills to coach and develop team members toward achieving business objectives

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in retail merchandising or sales management
• Knowledge of Produce, Meat/Seafood, or Deli/Bakery operations
