Job Summary of Beverage Sales Team Member:

As a Beverage Sales Team Member at Winn-Dixie, you will play an essential role in providing a safe, friendly, and efficient shopping experience for customers. You’ll greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous and prompt manner, offer product suggestions when appropriate, and ensure all department products are fresh and properly stocked. You will also observe customers for compliance with age verification laws, operate department equipment safely, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Hiring Immediately.

Responsibilities of Beverage Sales Team Member:

• Supervise customers and verify their age by checking their identification to adhere to age verification protocols. Recognize individuals who should not be served more alcohol and monitor to prohibit open containers from exiting the premises.
• Prohibit the sale of alcohol or tobacco to customers who are underage or appear to be under the influence.
• Persistently address customer requirements by welcoming, aiding, thanking, and suggesting products in a kind and courteous manner whenever necessary.
• Handle the stocking and rotation of products in the department to preserve their freshness and comply with date guidelines, optimize supply usage to reduce waste, and proficiently operate departmental tools and equipment.
• Engage with cash register technology accurately, recognizing various tender types and ensuring correct change is provided when relevant.
• Preserve a tidy and secure work zone, and notify management of any defective equipment or potential dangers in the vicinity.

Qualifications of Beverage Sales Team Member:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• TIPS training required prior to position start date.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and follow instructions proficiently.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• High standard of integrity and reliability.
• Basic computer skills for online training.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
