Job Summary:

As a Courtesy Clerk, Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Packages purchases and assists customers with delivery to their mode of transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service Greeting customers in a friendly manner
• Assisting customers by escorting them, securing products, loading or unloading heavy items, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
• Answering the telephone promptly and providing friendly, helpful service Working with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
• Packaging purchases and maintaining cleanliness Assisting customers in transporting purchases
• Helping train new courtesy clerks Checking prices on products
• Pulling product forward on shelf
• Bringing carts in from parking lot Cleaning can redemption area and emptying recycle bins Stocking, facing, rotating merchandise, cleaning shelves
• Maintaining supplies on front-end Adhering to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
• Adhering to company policies and individual store guidelines
• Reporting to work when scheduled and on time
• Assisting in all departments as requested
• Delivering product to customers Shoveling, salting, and sanding walkways
• Assisting in other areas of the store as needed Performing other job-related duties and special projects as required Knowledge, skills, abilities.

Qualifications:

• No education or experience requirements.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
• Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
• Copying figures, counting and recording
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions 

Physical requirements:

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
• Ability to perform Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Working conditions:

• exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dampness, dirt, and chemicals/solvents.
