Role and Responsibilities:
As a Inventory Associate, you will maintain organized, fully stocked, and clean grocery sections to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers. Your primary responsibilities include:
Unload deliveries and move products to designated storage areas.
Stock shelves according to the store’s planogram for proper product placement.
Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
Label products clearly with prices and ensure visibility of signage.
Arrange shelves for neat and customer-friendly displays.
Monitor inventory levels and notify managers when restocking is needed.
Perform regular inventory checks and organize backstock efficiently.
Remove damaged, expired, or recalled items from shelves promptly.
Assist and greet customers, providing guidance and product information.
Maintain clear and safe aisles throughout the store.
Stay updated on promotions, seasonal items, and inventory changes.
Clean and sanitize shelves, displays, and storage areas regularly.
Follow safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and equipment usage.
Report hazards or equipment issues to management immediately.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Communicate effectively with managers regarding inventory and operational needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in retail, grocery, or stocking preferred but not required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Basic math skills for inventory and product labeling.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
