Job Summary of Produce Assistant:

Your responsibilities as a Produce Assistant include maintaining quality, freshness, safety, and visual appeal within the department, assisting customers, preparing products, and supporting a positive shopping atmosphere while adhering to Hannaford's high standards of service and fresh food quality.

Responsibilities of Produce Assistant:

• Greet and support customers with finding and selecting products.
• Comply with set guidelines during the execution of designated stocking, elimination, and rearrangement procedures.
• Inner self yards goods in provisionment to compliance, reduction, packing, and quantification products fits criteria as well as has aims aligned with high quality.
• Fulfill specified cleaning responsibilities to uphold cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations.
• Product quality excellence is essential in supporting department goals and aims.
• Meet or exceed the performance standards as set out in Management Planning.
• Foster a deeper understanding of the diverse range of items found in the produce department.
• Establish a memorable customer experience by engaging in a friendly, helpful, and attentive manner.
• Engage in the development of new hires as delegated.
• Execute additional functions and responsibilities according to supervision's instructions.

Qualifications of Produce Assistant:

• The importance of effective communication, delivering excellent customer service, and fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
• Proficiency and eagerness to understand various job tasks and requirements.
• A preference for collaborative working relationships.
• The job duties can only be executed after meeting the prescribed age qualifications.
• The ability to meet the physical demands of the role is a prerequisite, with the option of reasonable accommodations if required.

Physical Requirements of Produce Assistant:

• Regularly lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally handle loads of up to 75 lbs.
• Maintain a posture of standing and keep walking continually.
• Regularly stooping down, extending, seizing, and raising objects at or above the waist zone.
• Lift up objects weighing up to 30 lbs to a height that is shoulder level or higher during handling.
• Perform duties in chilly environments for sessions lasting up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Make sure to handle produce, tools, packaging, and cleaning materials with your hands.
• Tolerating the handling of food and cleaning agents is a fundamental aspect of the job requirements.
• Accomplish the specified departmental volume and activity goals.
