Role and Responsibilities of Supermarket Associate:

Within the Grocery Store, your essential role involves delivering exceptional customer service within the Center Store Department, maintaining standards from the standard practice manual, increasing sales by providing excellent service, and reducing shrinkage through the appropriate application of standard practices:

• Provide prompt, affable, and accurate customer assistance to foster a positive shopping interaction.
• Abide by corporate regulations by ensuring that the shelves, shelf tags, and displays are orderly and in compliance with standards.
• Stock shelves with items by matching them with their respective price tags to maintain a display of only sellable products.
• Abide by the company's procedures for ordering, receiving, preparing, conditioning, and showcasing products.
• Engage with the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) technology to streamline operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to the company's policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
• Follow the guidelines for Food Safety and Workplace Safety to remain compliant.
• Identify and fix any dangerous conditions and aid in the reporting of accidents as mandated.
• Always be dressed in the approved Food Lion uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
• Thoroughly complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and training resources courses.

Required Skills and Experience of Supermarket Associate:

• The ideal qualification is a high school diploma or a similar level of education.
• Impressive interpersonal skills along with strong organizational and communication capabilities.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm to understand various responsibilities and technical prerequisites.
• Ability to effectively solve problems and utilize technical information proficiently.
• Compliance with the job's age prerequisites is mandatory.
• Having the competence to fulfill the physical obligations of the position, with or without reasonable adjustments.
