Scan Crew Member

Job Summary of Scan Crew Member:

Supervising the timely adjustment of pricing modifications and promotional updates to accurately mirror the current products and deals available in the store.

Responsibilities of Scan Crew Member:

• Conduct a thorough examination of the sales floor to ensure that the prices of promotional products are accurate and maintain a detailed record in the price exception log.
• Review the signage and predetermined pricing of items, including specially marked Super Low Price items and other promotional offers within the store.
• Review and examine the log of the security scan conducted on the previous day.
• Confirm the authenticity of all goods brought in by vendors throughout the day through the use of scanning technology.
• Input new information into the file and access it later from the personal computer whenever required.
• Ensure that price modifications from the central office are reviewed and updated accordingly.
• Implement a consistent plan for altering prices to optimize revenue, including raising prices on Saturdays and lowering them on Mondays.
• Develop and enforce a regular scanning protocol to mitigate losses resulting from incorrect pricing.
• Carry out scan audits on a scheduled basis to enable timely assessment of the entire store.
• Implement a strategy to uphold pricing integrity when transitioning between Hot Sheet offers and survey promotions.
• Examine the dates on each Super Low Price tag to confirm the accuracy of the listed prices.
• Assign no longer available sheets and impending deals to the appropriate team members.
• Creating and enforcing a policy within the store that fosters communication between grocery clerks and scanning coordinator to facilitate a smooth process of receiving products.
• Require all cashiers to report to supervisors when encountering products not listed in the inventory.
• Carry out maintenance procedures for the in-store PC and NCR registers.
• Implement a zero-tolerance approach towards any unnecessary movement of files within the department to uphold file cleanliness standards.
• Portray the store positively and in a professional light to sales representatives and vendors.
• Develop a cohesive system of signage to ensure customers are well-informed about our commitment to fair pricing.
• Keep the management informed about any concerns with pricing accuracy or signage within the store premises.
• Extend a warm greeting to patrons and remain attentive.
• Follow the guidelines set forth in the company's Employee Handbook.
• Offer assistance in the office or at till points as necessary.
• Altering the prices stored in the computer involves updating the numerical values.

Qualifications of Scan Crew Member:

• Proficiency in computer use is essential.
• Analytical and organizational proficiencies are crucial for reviewing entire scanning projects comprehensively and ensuring the accurate upkeep of essential schedules and reports.
• Proficient communication skills play a crucial role in engaging with customers, employees, and vendors
