Job Summary for Bakery Helper:

Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods by following each item's product handling information using ovens and/or other equipment. Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts based on bakery production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage instructions.Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department.

Fundamental job duties, essential responsibilities, and key obligations:

• Responds to customer concerns and suggests bakery goods. Manages incoming calls from clients and processes specific orders.
• Bakes and readies all bakery products according to each item's handling instructions through the use of ovens and relevant tools. Aids in production planning and display requirements by consulting bakery production guides. Gathers necessary products for preparation for the next business day.
• Wraps up various baked treats like cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, and breads as requested. Unpacks frozen bakery products and organizes the suitable amounts according to the bakery production schedule.
• Embellishes made-to-order or special case merchandise with adornments.
• Abides by guidelines for rotating and storing bakery products to uphold food safety measures and product quality.
• Ensures proper receipt, inspection, and storage of bakery shipments. Manages the rotation and storage of bakery goods in compliance with food safety regulations, guidelines for product freshness, and handling protocols.
• Monitors the adherence to company quality standards by routinely inspecting the freshness of products, identifying expired items, and following the established policies for managing them.
• Creates tags and stickers for bakery goods and conducts price checks when necessary. Ensures that all items are priced correctly.
• Ensures that bakery equipment, presentation stands, and food contact points are cleaned and sanitized, encompassing baking ovens, kitchen tools, refrigerated displays, product racks, and serving tables.
• Manages and operates bakery equipment following proper work techniques in line with safety protocols and procedures.
• Complies with the club's policies and procedures at all times.
• Completes various tasks as needed, including supporting other departments as directed.
• Regular, anticipated, unbroken attendance is a fundamental aspect of this role.

Qualifications:

• Candidates with a background in bakery or customer service roles are encouraged to apply.
• Preference for expertise in baked goods.
• Only those who are 18 years or older are eligible.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Most of the time is focused on moving on surfaces that are not rigid. There may be occasions where it is necessary to position oneself for the purpose of examining or scanning merchandise, which can involve bending, handling, pulling, reaching, pushing, and/or stooping.
• May involve the frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 30 pounds. There could be occasions where heavy or awkward items greater than 30 pounds need to be lifted and relocated with assistance.
• Located in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
• Cleaning agents are utilized frequently in everyday tasks.
