As a Distribution Center Receiver, you will be at the forefront of maintaining accuracy, security, and efficiency in the receiving operations crucial for the effective movement of products throughout the supply chain.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Handle functions related to the intake and storage of goods, including unloading deliveries, verifying with RF scanners, organizing items in specified locations, overseeing cross-docking operations, and selecting flow-through inventory.
- Be punctual at the workplace, well-dressed, and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
- Follow OSHA and Whole Foods policies when using a powered pallet jack or forklift.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment consistently.
- Ensure strict compliance with both OSHA and facility safety regulations.
- Promptly report all accidents and injuries to the Team Leader or Facility Leadership as soon as they occur.
- Handle unloading of truck deliveries, validate against bill of lading, input into the warehouse management platform, and set up for storage placement.
- Assess incoming inventory to ensure alignment with food safety standards.
- Correctly mark the product for placement upon completion of verification.
- Execute storage of items when necessary and maintain all relevant machinery.
- Precisely handle the intake, arrangement, and selection of products in transit.
- Verify that cross-dock items are accurately staged upon check-in.
- Ensure that product delivery areas, recycling stations, and trash bins are clear and accessible.
- Transfer reusable resources and merchandise onto transportation trucks.
- Successfully handle all inbound paperwork completion.
- Attend all team and facility meetings as required.
Necessary Qualifications and Expertise:
- Possess the physical fitness needed for the role.
- Demonstrated ability in communication and working collectively within a team context.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate all critical tools.
- Commitment to meeting customer service standards among vendors, clients, and colleagues.
- Attention to detail, correctness, and timeliness in completing assignments.
- Understanding quality benchmarks and comprehensive product awareness in the context of WFM.
- Display commitment and accountability while achieving objectives.
- Focus on specifics and ensure correctness in paperwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in receiving operations.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 to $39.60, based on experience.
- Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, store discounts, paid time off, and eligibility for additional benefit programs.
- Eligibility for Whole Benefits is based on the plan in effect at the time of hire.
