Job Summary of Scanning Support Crew:
Keeping a close eye on price adjustments and promotions to ensure that they are promptly updated and accurately reflected in the store's pricing structure.
Responsibilities of Scanning Support Crew:
- Monitor the sales floor for correct pricing of special offers and update the price exception log with any discrepancies found.
- Assess the information displayed on signs and pre-priced items, focusing on products marked as Super Low Price items and other ongoing store specials.
- Scrutinize the guarantee log to investigate the outcomes of the scan conducted on the prior day.
- Double-check all items brought in by suppliers during the day by scanning the products for validation.
- Incorporate additional content into the document and bring it up on the PC as and when needed.
- Validate for any fluctuations in prices from the main office, confirm, and update as necessary.
- Maintain a program for adjusting prices strategically to boost profits, with price increases on Saturdays and decreases on Mondays.
- Maintain a weekly scanning regimen to mitigate losses stemming from pricing inaccuracies.
- Adhere to the audit timetable to ensure that total store auditing is conducted promptly.
- Introduce measures to maintain pricing consistency during transitions of all Hot Sheet or survey specials.
- Ensure the pricing validity by cross-checking the dates on the Super Low Price tags.
- Allocate discontinued sheets and upcoming promotions to the appropriate team members.
- Implementing and sustaining a policy at the store that supports communication between grocery clerks and scanning coordinator to facilitate the efficient handling of delivered items.
- Ensure that all cashiers are responsible for notifying management about items not included in the file.
- Conduct maintenance checks on the PC and NCR registers within the retail environment.
- Adopt a policy that emphasizes the importance of file stability and cleanliness by discouraging any unnecessary movement of files within the department.
- Ensure that sales representatives and vendors perceive the store in a positive and professional manner through interactions.
- Design and deploy a signage campaign that highlights our adherence to fair pricing for all products and services.
- Address any inconsistencies in pricing or signage by alerting the management to the issues.
- Greet clients warmly and pay attention to details.
- Abide by the standards and procedures specified in the organization's Employee Handbook.
- Provide assistance in the office or at registers based on requirements.
- Updating prices on the computer system requires making amendments to the displayed rates.
Qualifications of Scanning Support Crew:
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have strong analytical and organizational skills in order to analyze total scanning programs, and to properly maintain necessary reports and schedules.
- Strong communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors
