The Money Handler is responsible for delivering a personable, prompt, and precise checkout experience for our members. Responsibilities include processing purchases, managing payments, and endorsing BJ's membership alternatives, all while preserving the cleanliness and organization of the front-end space.

Primary tasks, key responsibilities, and important duties:

• Ensures a high level of member satisfaction through friendly greetings, efficient purchase processing, and polite responses to questions.
• Checks merchandise by scanning them through the POS system for precise pricing and effective inventory monitoring.
• Accepts various forms of payment like cash, check, credit, and mobile transactions.
• Elaborates on the benefits provided by memberships, renewals, and upgrades, showcasing programs like BJ’s Loyalty and EASY Renewal.
• Completes transactions accurately by issuing receipts and providing correct change to customers.
• Guides members through self-service checkout and scan-and-go machines, assisting with basic technical hiccups.
• Handles the upkeep of cleanliness in the front-end section, registers, and cashier lanes.
• Monitors promotions and advertisements to communicate savings and special offers to members.
• Conforming to all club policies and procedures to guarantee operational effectiveness and member approval.
• Executes additional tasks as given, which may involve supporting various departments as necessary.
• Consistent and expected attendance is a fundamental requirement for this role.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Frequent time spent standing and walking on unyielding surfaces.
• Occasional stooping, reaching, and handling loads of up to 30 lbs (heavier items with assistance).
• Essentially an indoor space with minimal exposure to temperature shifts or loud disturbances.
• Sporadic exposure to household cleansers.
