Material Handler

Job Summary:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional service to customers and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing products.
• Verify the quantity, quality, and products delivered match invoices and assist in tracking vendor credits, inventory records, damages, and variances.
• Maintain fresh and appealing shelves and cases by keeping them clean and well-stocked.
• Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for stocking, rotating, and merchandising products on the sales floor and in back rooms and coolers/freezers.
• Handle products properly, use equipment safely, maintain accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices according to food and human safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working in cold temperatures and lifting weights up to 8-32 pounds on average, occasionally lifting weights greater than 50 pounds.
