Job Summary of Deli Operations Associate:

As a Deli Operations Associate, you will perform duties at the prepared foods and deli service counter to ensure department appearance, quality, variety, and food safety are maintained. You will build customer relations and provide enthusiastic service in support of company strategy.

Responsibilities of Deli Operations Associate:

• Offer a friendly welcome and aid customers in locating and picking out items.
• Deliver exceptional and cordial customer service and use skills and knowledge to propose solutions that meet or surpass customer expectations.
• Prepare, cut, weigh, wrap, and pack items following established standards and quality objectives.
• Simultaneously managing the preparation of multiple orders while upholding high standards of customer service and quality delivery.
• Backing and supporting customers at a service counter
• Follow stringent quality guidelines for products to reinforce our department's strategic direction.
• Align performance with the productivity standards outlined in the Management Planning framework.
• Broaden familiarity with products in multiple departmental categories.
• Abide by company guidelines while performing all designated cleaning functions.
• Aid in guiding other associates through training and managing other assigned tasks

Qualifications of Deli Operations Associate:

• While having deli, restaurant, or food service experience is advantageous, it is not a necessity.
• Proven communication techniques, exceptional customer care, and skilled sales proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability in interpersonal relations and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
• Ability and keenness to acquire understanding of various responsibilities and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize them effectively in a high-speed environment.
• Following the stipulated age guidelines is imperative.
• Ability to meet the physical expectations of the position is a fundamental requirement, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successful applicants will have already completed the necessary Deli Service Case Associate training.

Physical Requirements of Deli Operations Associate:

• Carry items that weigh 15 lbs. frequently and lift objects up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach to shoulder lifting 20 lbs. frequently and overhead occasionally.
• Engaging in consistent actions of pushing and pulling items in the 3 to 15-pound range, with sporadic lifting duties of up to 40 pounds.
• Conduct regular gripping activities with the hands and arms while being upright and mobile during the majority of the workday.
• Abide by the volume activity standards set for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting produce items at or above waist level.
• Manage controls manually, assess textures through touch, and apply instruments for unsealing containers or for the processing and hygienic practices involving fruits and vegetables.
• Be skilled in handling a range of substances commonly used in cleaning supplies, packaging materials, and food products.
• Have the endurance to work in hot or cold conditions for up to 20 minutes without difficulty
