Role and Responsibilities:

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items for cold cases, fresh packs, salad bars, and hot bars while maintaining presentation and sanitation standards. You will ensure consistency, freshness, and excellent customer service in alignment with Whole Foods Market's values and food safety standards.

• Fabricate dishes for refrigerated displays, newly packed items, salad buffets, and warming stations according to the provided production sheets and kitchen formulas.
• Ensure all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored, and rotated correctly to maintain quality and freshness.
• Monitor food inventory levels and replenish items in a timely manner.
• Arrive promptly, maintain appropriate grooming, and be prepared for scheduled shifts; attend required training sessions and meetings.
• Deliver exceptional customer care, promptly address customer needs, and showcase effective upselling approaches.
• Drive sales growth by ensuring products are prepped, stored, rotated, restocked, and displayed to customers effectively.
• Follow established protocols regarding Weights and Measures, health and sanitation regulations, and safe work methods.
• Maintain a well-kept and sanitized workspace and retail environment; ensure equipment, storage areas, and cooling systems meet cleanliness standards.
• Perform start-of-day, mid-day, and end-of-day tasks, verifying accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately report any safety hazards or violations.
• Perform additional responsibilities as designated by management at the store, regional, or national levels.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Profound understanding of products and the ability to accurately follow recipe procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly earnings range from $16.50 to $30.20, based on candidate experience, corresponding to a 40-hour workweek.
