Essential job functions, key responsibilities, and primary accountability:

• Addresses customer questions and provides bakery recommendations. Manages incoming inquiries and coordinates specialized requests.
• Completes the baking and preparation processes for all bakery goods by adhering to the specific guidelines for handling individual items, employing ovens and other applicable equipment. Refers to bakery production outlines to determine production requirements and display prerequisites. Gathers items in preparation for the forthcoming operational day.
• Assembles packages containing a range of delicious baked delicacies, including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, and cakes as necessary. Removes bakery items from the freezer and presents them in the recommended quantities from the bakery production plan.
• Beautifies specialty or commissioned items through decoration.
• Follows proper procedures for rotating and storing bakery goods to ensure food safety, freshness, and adherence to handling policies.
• Examines and receives bakery orders, then organizes them for storage. Manages the systematic rotation and storage of bakery items while following food safety measures, product freshness standards, and handling procedures.
• Guarantees the freshness and quality of products by conducting daily checks to detect any expired items and enforcing the correct protocols for dealing with such products.
• Prepares labels and price tags for bakery items and conducts price verifications when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of all prices.
• Cleans and sterilizes bakery equipment, display racks, and surfaces used for food preparation in compliance with sanitation standards and procedures, involving ovens, culinary tools, refrigeration displays, shelving units, and workbenches.
• Utilizes bakery equipment and machinery employing proper operational methods in compliance with safety policies and guidelines.
• Abides by all the standards and protocols set forth by the club.
• Takes on extra duties as requested, including aiding in alternative departments when required.
• Routine, scheduled, uninterrupted attendance is a necessary aspect of this position.

Qualifications:

• Preference is given to candidates with prior bakery or customer service experience.
• Proficiency in bakery items advantageous.
• A person must be 18 years of age or older.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• The majority of the time is utilized in moving around surfaces that are not hard. Occasionally, there may be a requirement to adjust one's position for the purpose of examining or scanning merchandise, which can involve bending, handling, pulling, reaching, pushing, and/or stooping.
• Frequent lifting of items up to 30 pounds is part of the job requirements. Occasionally, heavier or awkward objects weighing more than 30 pounds may need to be lifted and moved with assistance.
• Located in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
