Job Summary of Product Stocker:

As a Hy-Vee Product stocker, you will: Check the merchandise's condition and appearance for freshness Create or adhere to a production list and make sure a sufficient quantity of products is available. Every day, estimate the department's product needs. goods check-in, goods storage, and invoice review.

Responsibilities of Product Stocker:

• Showcases exceptional customer service by demonstrating kindness, empathy, and a commitment to ensuring customers feel valued and prioritized in all interactions within the store.
• Ensures a positive customer experience by greeting them with smiles and friendliness, making an effort to remember and utilize their names when possible.
• Aiding patrons by guiding them to their desired products, retrieving items that are out of their reach, and assisting with heavy lifting tasks. Keeping track of and communicating any suggestions or requests made by customers is a key aspect of customer support. Carrying out a variety of tasks to enhance the shopping experience is also an important part of customer assistance
• Ensures timely responses to incoming phone calls and delivers friendly and helpful customer service to those inquiring. Collaborates with coworkers to guarantee customer fulfillment and a positive workplace atmosphere.
• Carrying out truck unloading, container opening, shelving, overstock organization on risers, and product rotation.
• Monitors for miss-picked items, reviews product outs, wrong deliveries, etc. Organizes stock for greatest efficiency, cleans and restocks damaged items. Tags the shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers. Reports all new or different items for the scanning coordinator for input into the system.
• Ensures strict conformity with department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and attire. Follows company policies and complies with specific store guidelines diligently.
• Adheres to the work timetable by arriving promptly for shifts and fulfilling the designated work duration.

Qualification of Product Stocker:

• Must have the ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions.
• Must be able to solve arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
• High school or equivalent experience. Six months or less of similar or related work experience.

Physical Requirements of Product Stocker:

• Proficiency in executing highly strenuous duties is expected, which includes exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly for the purpose of object transportation.
• Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
• Applicants must be able to carry out a range of physical tasks, including climbing, balancing, bending, crouching, reaching, standing, moving on foot, pulling, lifting, grasping, perceiving touch, speaking, listening, and performing recurring motions.

Working Conditions of Product Stocker:

• This position entails frequent contact with dirt, loud noises, hazards posed by moving equipment, and interaction with chemicals and solvents on a day-to-day basis.
• Exposure to temperature swings and the chance of electrical shock is part of his occasional job hazards.
