Job Summary of Grocery Bakery Clerk:

Grocery Bakery Clerk are responsible for preparing baked goods and displaying said goods and deli items.Grocery Bakery Clerk will also operate mixers, ovens, scales, slicers, fryers, as well as wrap and price items within the deli-bakery department.They will ice pastries, decorate cakes; fill displays while also assisting customers with purchases and any other tasks assigned by management.Grocery Bakery Clerk are responsible for maintaining a clean work area and following all safety rules set in place by the store.

Responsibilities of Grocery Bakery Clerk:

• Arrange, cut, and pack deli meats, cheeses, and baked goods efficiently
• Assist clients in making selections, placing orders, and fulfilling any special requests
• Execute the safe handling of deli slicers, ovens, and additional bakery machinery
• Maintain product quality by monitoring freshness levels and correctly rotating stock
• Support with the process of baking, frosting, or adorning baked goods whenever help is needed
