Whole Foods Market is hiring a Store Support Supervisor (Customer Service, Front End Support) for a full-time role. This leadership position supports the Store Support Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) in managing day-to-day operations, supervising team members, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction while maintaining Whole Foods Market's standards and values.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Store Support Supervisor, you will oversee Store Support Team Members, assist with scheduling, and ensure smooth departmental flow. You will also support training, problem resolution, and operational excellence across the store.
- Lead and assign duties to the members of the Store Support Team.
- Collaborate with the Team Trainer to provide guidance and support to new Team Members using learning checklists and training materials.
- Ensure shelves and cases are clean, fully stocked, and items are rotated correctly.
- Address customer inquiries in a friendly and prompt manner.
- Monitor equipment functionality, employee attendance, and team-related challenges; report concerns to management.
- Maintain high levels of retail performance while embodying Whole Foods Market's core values.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and positivity among team members.
- Assist team members by offering feedback, evaluations, and supporting their development.
- Stay aware of customer needs and guide employees to provide exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep understanding of Store Support team procedures and policies.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and guide teams and make sound decisions.
- Comprehensive product knowledge and awareness of new product launches.
- Hands-on experience in regulatory and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email platforms, and job-related applications.
- Strong math skills for financial performance optimization and inventory management.
- Minimum of 12 months of retail experience.
Workload Expectations and Environmental Factors:
- Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for 6 8 hours per shift.
- Bend, twist, crouch, and stretch as needed.
- Work in wet, cold, and hot environments.
- Use FDA-approved cleaning chemicals safely.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate tools and equipment such as cutting devices, material handling aids, and heavy machinery.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.10, based on experience.
