Responsibilities of Grocery Lead Staff:

• Inspiring peers to work together towards delivering the finest shopping experience for our patrons, with a specific emphasis on providing an exceptional checkout service.
• Interacting with coworkers to designate daily tasks.
• Assisting team members through mentoring and coaching to exceed customer service and sales expectations, uphold Meijer standards, and fulfill mandatory training requirements.
• Assisting in the onboarding process of new team members or developing high-potential employees through cross-training can lead to increased productivity among team members.
• Collaborating with leadership to create department schedules that prioritize team member involvement, enhance customer service, drive store revenue, and boost profitability.
• Maintaining the freshness of products through thorough monitoring of rotation and dating protocols.
• Providing guidance to the team to meet food safety standards and regulations while working safely and taking full responsibility.
• Managing team members to guarantee the completion of tasks related to ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and presenting products, where necessary.

• Fulfilling responsibilities related to operating a register and handling cash transactions.
