Cake Designer

Job Summary of Cake Designer:

A Cake Designer holds the responsibility of embellishing all commissioned cakes. This individual is tasked with crafting, adorning, and producing aesthetically pleasing and top-notch cakes, pastries, and assorted baked items in alignment with both customer specifications and organizational protocols. Such a position entails the preparation of various embellishing elements such as icing and fondant, executing imaginative designs, and validating that the goods are both appealing and well-prepared for purchase or collection

Responsibilities of Cake Designer:

• Maintain presentable and adequately filled shelves.
• Control freshness by coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily.
• Wrap, package, and price all products accurately and legibly.
• Maintain the regular cleaning and sanitation program established by company policies.
• Maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Greet all customers and be observant to your surroundings.
• To ensure all cake orders are completed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Abid by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Assist in baking of products when needed.

Qualifications of Cake Designer:

• Effective customer service requires the possession of robust communication abilities.
• Proficiency in manual skills is essential for the wrapping, packaging, and embellishment of items.
• Reading and writing skills are necessary for correctly labeling and determining the prices of items.
• Past cake decorating background is required.
• Capability to hoist items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds when required.
