Job Summary of Dairy Department Manager:

The Dairy Department is managed and supervised by the Dairy Department Manager to uphold product quality, freshness, and customer service excellence. Responsibilities include overseeing staff, inventory management, product ordering, and ensuring proper storage practices

Responsibilities of Dairy Department Manager:

• Verify all deliveries against invoices, and note any shortages or overages and report them to the appropriate personnel.
• Responsible for price changes within the department.
• Maintain an acceptable inventory level by using proper ordering techniques.
• Properly rotate products to control freshness and remove out-of-code items.
• Maintenance of temporary price reduction of certain products.
• Communicate temperature failure of cases, shelves, and storage areas to manager in charge.
• Control damaged merchandise by calling in any damages and properly storing damages for sales representatives.
• Maintain good customer relations.
• Greet all customers to our store and be observant while working.
• Abid by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Transport products to storage areas, and to sales floor.
• Maintain shelves and cases to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications of Dairy Department Manager:

• Proficiency in literacy skills is essential for correctly labeling products, managing orders, and monitoring stock levels.
• Capacity to adhere to written and spoken directives.
• Required to carry weights of up to fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis, constituting thirty percent (30%) of the workload.
