Role and Responsibilities:
As a Grocery Store Customer Associate, you will play a key role in strengthening customer trust and loyalty by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient service. You will manage the customer service desk and media services, ensuring that customer concerns are resolved promptly or escalated according to company policies. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers courteously, respond to their needs, and address or escalate concerns professionally.
- Front-End Operations: Oversee store cash and accounting tasks, stay current with company policies, operate Automated Checkout Machines (ACM), and troubleshoot front-end equipment.
- Inventory & Stocking: Restock merchandise and supplies, assist with pricing, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Professional Communication: Demonstrate professional phone etiquette, guide customers appropriately, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Safety & Compliance: Keep work areas clean and safe, report hazards or faulty equipment, and notify management of theft or policy violations.
- Additional Duties: Perform cashier responsibilities and other tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain work authorization.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
