Role and Responsibilities:

Your role involves creating a remarkable customer experience and maintaining a secure, hygienic space that fosters customer loyalty. Assisting the department manager in accomplishing revenue and profit targets, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and teaming up with the Deli/Bakery crew to actively engage with customers are important responsibilities.

• Elevate customer satisfaction levels by offering exemplary service and introducing customers to potential new favorites by providing product samples
• Safeguard the cleanliness and safety of the department in accordance with food safety guidelines
• Safely and correctly prepare, seal, designate, and monitor inventory of cheese products
• Regularly inspect product freshness and respond accordingly to mitigate losses
• Inform clients about ongoing specials at the Cheese Shop and assist with any questions they may have about the various products
• Combine and proportion elements in accordance with cooking guidelines using kitchen tools and machinery
• Arrange, tag, and track merchandise in the store section, communicating any disparities identified to supervisors
• Monitor and regulate the suitable conditions in cabinets and refrigeration units, and maintain precise temperature documentation
• Bolster safety measures by actively identifying and reporting any unsafe circumstances or incidents
• Function collectively in a rapid environment and resolve differences in a courteous fashion

Requisite skills and background:

• Effective communication skills
• Primary arithmetic skills involving counting, adding, and taking away
• Exhibiting poise when confronted with stressful conditions
• Attainment of a high school education or its equal standard is mandatory
• It is beneficial to have similar retail involvement
• Knowing the department's merchandise well so as to respond to inquiries and give suggestions
• Capacity to comply with guidance and seek aid when appropriate
• Competence to execute crucial job functions with or without necessary support

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engagement in a retail or grocery work environment
• Being familiar with guidelines for food safety and sanitation is necessary
