Job Qualification:

• Ideal for beginners or those with less than half a year of experience
• Educational prerequisite: A high school diploma or a comparable qualification is required
• Pharmacy Certification is the preferred credential for those in the pharmaceutical field
• Requirement: Lifting should not exceed 25 pounds
• Individuals must be at least 18 years old

Job Responsibilities:

• It is important to welcome patients with a compassionate attitude and a friendly expression as soon as they arrive at the pharmacy.
• Exhibit a high standard of patient care by showing regard, actively participating, and enthusiastically catering to all patient necessities, such as managing orders in person or via telephone, steering patients towards items and commodities, and referring pertinent questions about medications to the pharmacist.
• Keep the workspace tidy to meet the standards mandated by the company and regulatory bodies.
• Support colleagues in completing tasks to enhance the efficiency of departmental processes.
• Leverage the pharmacy technology to streamline processes and ensure excellent patient service at different touchpoints such as drop-off, will-call, drive-thru, phone interactions, prescription dispensing, and order reception. This involves activities like searching for patient information, determining medication pickup schedules, managing prescriptions transmitted to Central Fill, estimating cash prices for medications, monitoring stock levels, and inputting purchase details.
• Support the team in creating effective plans to boost performance by leveraging insights from various service and business measures.
• Aid in carrying out all organizational programs and efforts.
• Successfully complete the necessary training course and related tests.
• Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, along with laws and regulations such as HIPAA and guidelines on the sale of Pseudoephedrine.
• Carry out sales finalization through the cash register following established guidelines, including adherence to point of sale policies.
• Generate a unique label for the customer by transcribing data from prescriptions with precision.
• Aid in maintaining inventory levels by following company policies and procedures for ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating pharmaceuticals and other goods.
• Engage with incoming calls in a courteous and efficient manner, confirming the exchange of precise information and ensuring customer contentment.
• Handle customer queries and alleviate their concerns by engaging in effective communication with both customers and colleagues.
• Document written prescriptions each day.
