Responsibilities of Store Bakery Manager:

• The Store Bakery Manager's role at Sprouts Farmers Market involves overseeing the Bakery Department's performance and operations.
• Direct the daily workflow for baking, production tasks, and bakery product displays
• Keep a close eye on product quality and consistency, inventory management, and fiscal responsibilities in order to effectively run the bakery
• Examine departmental situations and functions to determine positives and areas requiring refinement; formulate enhanced practices and protocols
• Maintain the standards set by the company concerning safety measures, correct handling of food items, sanitation requirements, and work output
• Responsible for the proper arrangement of orders, receiving procedures, unloading duties, and storage management
• Performing the regular rotation of inventory and setting up eye-catching displays
• Responsible for overseeing departmental inventory, in-store availability, pricing consistency, merchandising practices, labor allocation, and operational compliance with Sprouts benchmarks
• Arrange and coordinate orders based on company protocols to drive sales and maximize gross profit

• Participate in coaching, feedback provision, and individual development discussions to engage and assess team members, and formulate suggestions for merit increases during the bi-annual performance review process.
• Make a practice of attending and being involved in store-based meetings.
• Engage in decision-making with the Store Manager regarding recruitment, hiring, and promotions/transfers.
• Address Team Member problems with assurance by utilizing independent judgment.
• Enforce corrective measures as required, including working in conjunction with business and HR colleagues to oversee performance management by utilizing methods like coaching, counseling, progressive disciplinary actions, temporary suspension, or dismissal when the situation demands it.
• Improve productivity and efficacy by developing and adjusting schedules and staffing numbers.
• Relay requirements, expectations, shifts in policies, and thorough product knowledge to team members.
• Head a team that aims to deliver superior products, top-level service, and an unmatched customer experience through collaboration and teamwork.
• Assume the role of a Key Carrier for the store and act as the Manager on Duty when the situation demands.

Qualifications of Store Bakery Manager:

• To be a Store Bakery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market qualified candidates must:
• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays
• Have and show outgoing and friendly behavior along with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to give and take direction participating in a team environment
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.)
• Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed. Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
• Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift. This role also requires vertically transferring tray up to 5 lbs., from 7 to 64 for up to 10 hours, and vertically/horizontally transferring items up to 40 lbs., from 5 to 36, for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Possess a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
