Retail Cashier

Job Summary of Retail Cashier:

The position of Retail Cashier at Winn-Dixie demands active participation in delivering exceptional customer care and ensuring a hassle-free transaction process during checkout. You will be expected to cordially greet, support, and show appreciation to customers in a pleasant and polite manner, correctly operate the cash register, and efficiently manage all types of payments. Immediate positions to fill.

Responsibilities of Retail Cashier:

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs. Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Properly record sales through the scanning system.
• Operate cashiering equipment accurately and efficiently, recognizing all forms of tender and providing correct change.
• Stock front-end products and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Return carts to the shopping cart corral.
• Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Retail Cashier:

• Adhere to the specified age criteria outlined by laws and company policies to fulfill job responsibilities.
• The capability to understand, write, and articulate ideas in English fluently.
• Capacity to grasp and comply with instructions given in English.
• The right to work in the United States or the capacity to obtain approval for employment.
• Meeting the requirements of pre-employment drug testing and background investigations is necessary for moving forward in the hiring process.
