Pharmacy Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process prescription requests with accuracy and efficiency, while demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion towards customers.
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for customers.
• Input information, dispense medication, and verify data while following department processes and procedures.
• Assist with tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly, including maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and stocking drugs.
• Handle products, use equipment, maintain accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Computer skills and ability to perform basic mathematical computations for data entry and prescription filling.
• Pharmacy Technician certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• New Jersey applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred qualifications include experience ordering products, controlling inventory, and previous Pharmacy Technician experience.
