Role and Responsibilities:

The Cash Register Operator plays a key role in providing a smooth, accurate, and friendly checkout experience. This position is responsible for maintaining accuracy in transactions while delivering service that builds customer trust and loyalty. Main responsibilities include:

• Customer Service: Greet, assist, and thank customers courteously; resolve or escalate concerns to management; and share details about promotions or specials when appropriate.
• Cash Register Operation: Accurately process sales using the scanning system; operate cashiering equipment; handle all payment types; provide correct change; and help train new cashiers as needed.
• Product Stocking and Maintenance: Organize and restock front-end merchandise; return unwanted or misplaced products to the proper department; manage carts; and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Loss Prevention & Compliance: Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, or other policy violations; and follow all company safety, service, and security standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must meet company and legal minimum age requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
• Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.
