Job Summary of Deli Counter Staff:

As a Deli Counter Staff, you will perform duties at the prepared foods and deli service counter to ensure department appearance, quality, variety, and food safety are maintained. You will build customer relations and provide enthusiastic service in support of company strategy.

Responsibilities of Deli Counter Staff:

• Greet and support clients in finding and choosing products.
• Provide exceptional and affable customer care while leveraging skills and understanding to recommend solutions that exceed customer expectations.
• Slice, chop, get ready, quantify, and parcel products according to defined standards and quality ambitions.
• Efficiently handling multiple orders concurrently while ensuring customer service excellence and adherence to quality protocols.
• Assisting and aiding customers at a service point
• Uphold the highest standards of product quality to support the strategic objectives of our department.
• Achieve the required productivity levels as per the Management Planning specifications.
• Enhance familiarity with the array of products within different departmental segments.
• Execute all cleaning tasks in accordance with the policies outlined by the company.
• Help in instructing other team members and carrying out assigned responsibilities

Qualifications of Deli Counter Staff:

• Although experience in deli, restaurant, or food industry is helpful, it is not essential.
• Polished communication skills, outstanding customer service, and effective selling abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a fondness for working in a team dynamic.
• Skill and eagerness to comprehend diverse duties and technical demands associated with the position.
• Skillful at managing multiple tasks concurrently and prioritizing them in a fast-paced workplace.
• Observing the age limit requirements is necessary.
• Vital to demonstrate the physical capability to perform the duties of the role, with or without necessary modifications.
• Completion of Deli Service Case Associate training is a must for applicants interested in this position.

Physical Requirements of Deli Counter Staff:

• Regularly manage weights up to 15 lbs. and occasionally lift items that weigh 40 lbs.
• Reach to shoulder lifting 20 lbs. frequently and overhead occasionally.
• Performing continuous movements of pushing and pulling loads weighing between 3 and 15 pounds, with occasional lifting tasks of up to 40 pounds.
• Carry out continual grasping, hand, and arm motions while standing or in motion for the majority of the work schedule.
• Attain the volume activity requirements outlined for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting produce items at or above waist level.
• Exercise manual control, feel surfaces, and utilize tools for unlocking packages or for the proper handling and sanitation of fresh produce.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing various substances typically associated with cleaning materials, packaging products, and food items.
• Maintain the ability to tolerate shifts in temperature for up to 20 minutes during work assignments
