Job Duties and Responsibilities of Meat Processing Manager:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the meat department, including product preparation, inventory, and staff supervision.
• Provide leadership to meat cutters, clerks, and other department staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent service.
• Ensure all meat products are properly stored, displayed, and handled in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Perform inventory checks, place orders, and monitor product availability to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Monitor and adjust pricing as necessary to stay competitive in the market while maintaining profitability.
• Assist customers with special requests, product recommendations, and expert cuts of meat.
• Ensure the department adheres to cleanliness and organization standards, following company policies and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience of Meat Processing Manager:

• Proven experience in meat cutting, butchery, or management in a retail setting.
• Experience managing a team, providing leadership, and training in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely operate meat processing equipment, including grinders, tenderizers, and saws.
• Strong understanding of food safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and perform under pressure in a busy department.
