Job Summary of Cleaning Supervisor:

This position supports the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of the office environment. Responsibilities include general cleaning, light HVAC work, small facility repairs, and event support. The individual serves as a team lead for janitorial operations and acts as a backup when staffing issues arise. A focus on safety, organization, and timely task execution is key to success in this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Cleaning Supervisor:

• Handle basic building maintenance responsibilities such as painting, hanging items, laying wires, and relocating equipment.
• Fulfill necessary HVAC maintenance requirements by installing new filters.
• Perform standard cleaning duties of sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Assist in the setup and dismantling of meeting and event sites.
• Provide detailed reports on the inventory needs of cleaning supplies for efficient management.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with health and safety standards.
• Offer support for outdoor maintenance requirements, which may include tasks like snow removal and landscaping maintenance.
• Lead the janitorial team and take on additional shifts when there are callouts or staffing shortages.
• Provide support in managing parking lot operations, event setup tasks, and security monitoring for events.
• Provide cold weather support through salting and shoveling efforts to keep walkways clear and safe.
• Support is available for office and cubicle transitions, which include setting up equipment and conducting minor repair tasks.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by department leaders in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience of Cleaning Supervisor:

• Successful candidates must demonstrate completion of high school or its equal alternative.
• The ideal candidate will have received education from a vocational school.
• The position mandates one to two years of maintenance experience, although candidates with three to four years of experience are encouraged to apply.
• Displays excellent communication skills in both speaking and writing.
