Job Summary of Customer Operations Leader:
As a Customer Operations Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing front-end operations, supporting associates, and ensuring customers receive a positive and efficient experience. This role includes assigning tasks, assisting with cashiering and service desk duties, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and resolving customer concerns in a professional manner.
Responsibilities of Customer Operations Leader:
- Adhere to and comply with all organizational regulations and approved protocols.
- Ensure a tidy and well-kept personal image always and comply with the company's standards for personal appearance.
- Delegate fixed responsibilities to front end and service desk/kiosk employees when there are slow periods, following the instructions provided on the Service Leader Assignment Sheets
- Assist with special projects and fulfill other functions as assigned by management.
- Respect and follow all safety protocols as outlined by the company.
- Alert us to any required equipment maintenance or repair work.
- Create a hazard-free work zone by properly disposing of debris and maintaining cleanliness.
- Maintain compliance with security standards by remaining alert and observant of customers' actions and behaviors.
- Inform the manager or security of any unusual conduct that you observe.
- Safeguard the company's funds by always securing the change drawer when leaving it unattended.
- Regularly follow store guidelines and state and local health regulations to maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards.
- Engage in cashier and bagging functions frequently
- Consistently fulfill service desk or kiosk responsibilities and, when adequately instructed, undertake bookkeeping functions
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Customer Operations Leader:
- The capacity to communicate skillfully and deliver exceptional customer support.
- For specific job tasks, it is essential to adhere to the age restrictions in place, with 18 years being the typical minimum requirement.
- Evidenced ability and keenness to familiarize oneself with multiple tasks and technical essentials of the job.
- Exhibited skill in handling the technical requirements of cashier and service desk/kiosk assignments.
- Strengthen customer relations by upholding a commitment to excellent customer service and dealing with issues promptly and courteously.
- Develop appropriate work schedules for front-end and service desk/kiosk staff to address business traffic requirements and minimize customer inconvenience.
- Carry out the collection of cash and fulfill change order demands while adhering to prescribed logging procedures.
- Validate all client identification numbers provided and adhere to the regulations of the establishment regarding the approval of checks, as well as the retail of tobacco and alcohol products.
- Provide a straightforward refund experience for both customers and associates while respecting agreed-upon guarantees
- Watch over the completion of all tasks and responsibilities of front-end and service desk/kiosk staff as authorized by the Customer Service Manager
- Treat every coworker fairly, with dignity and respect.
- Give credit for achievements and provide constructive counseling when required.

Physical Requirements of Customer Operations Leader:
- Conduct recurring movements with the hands and arms while being on your feet and in motion for the majority of the day.
- Regularly bend and hoist items that weigh no more than 15 pounds, with frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally, exert a force of up to 75 pounds in a pushing or pulling motion.
- Be prepared to work outside in challenging weather situations.
- Collect and transport up to five shopping carts to their designated areas.
- Proficient in handling different substances found in cleaning materials, packaging supplies, fresh produce, house plants, and household cleaning agents.
- Have satisfactory eyesight for the scrutiny of identification cards, checks, receipts, and other written documentation.
