Job Summary of Grocery Team Member:

In the role of a Winn-Dixie Grocery Team Member, you are integral to ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. You will be expected to promptly and courteously greet, assist, and show appreciation to customers while accurately documenting transactions and operating checkout equipment proficiently, recognizing diverse payment methods. Your duties will also involve maintaining well-stocked and neat grocery, general merchandise, dairy, and frozen food departments, confirming product quality, and aiding with the receipt and unloading of vendor deliveries. Responsibilities of Grocery Team Member:

• Ensure that customer needs are consistently addressed and exceptional service is delivered.
• Extend greetings, offer help, and show appreciation to patrons in a kind and pleasant way.
• Provide guidance on suitable products that may meet the needs of customers.
• Organize and shift merchandise within the department to uphold its freshness and ensure accurate tracking of expiration dates, while also managing supplies prudently to decrease unnecessary disposal.
• Follow safety guidelines while operating departmental equipment and tools.
• Provide support with receiving vendor products and promptly unloading shipments.
• Monitor checkout aisles in alignment with established service protocols while preserving precise sales data.
• Ensure that all carts are returned to the designated corral.
• Report incidents of staff stealing, customer stealing, unapproved price reductions, damage to property, or any conduct that is unlawful or goes against company rules to supervisors.
• Carry out any other assigned responsibilities as part of the job.

Qualifications of Grocery Team Member:

• Meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
