Cake Decorator

Job Summary:

H-E-B is seeking energetic and motivated Cake Decorators who take pride in creating beautiful, delicious products while providing an exceptional customer experience. As a vital member of our bakery team, you will use your decorating skills and attention to detail to craft cakes and pastries that delight customers. Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting customers with cake orders and product selections, both in-person and over the phone, ensuring accuracy and satisfaction.
• Apply professional cake decorating techniques in line with visual training guides to produce high-quality cakes and pastries.
• Personalize cakes by writing messages with icing as requested by customers.
• Manage daily production schedules, ensuring cakes and baked goods are prepared, packaged, and displayed on time and meet quality standards.
• Handle product slicing, packaging, labeling, rotation, and inventory records to support production planning and reduce shrink.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work area, following all H-E-B food safety and store operating procedures.
• Properly operate and maintain bakery equipment to ensure efficient and safe production.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in bakery production or cake decorating.
• Completion of company orientation, safety training, and eCommerce ordering system training upon hire.
• Proficient in using bakery equipment and computer systems such as PCs, scales, label machines, and barcode scanners.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and write effectively, with good planning and organizational abilities.
