Job Summary of Pharmacy Support Associate:

The main goal is to oversee and manage pharmacy and DMEPOS operations efficiently to control costs, preserve profit margins, meet or exceed sales goals, offer a pleasant patient experience, and maintain positive working conditions for employees. Tasks include making, mixing, and compounding prescriptions for patients and providing consultations upon request

Responsibilities of Pharmacy Support Associate:

• Oversees the department's performance to meet the standards outlined by the company
• Analyzing the department's operational tactics, business strategy, appraisals, and scope of offerings to ensure ongoing growth and financial security
• Assesses and oversees pharmacy operations to achieve continuous progress and economic stability
• Verifying that pharmacy requirements are adhered to, thus enhancing the approval of the facility and supporting facility retention
• Required to handle all stages of the sales process, have a comprehensive understanding of and effectively communicate the pharmacy's medication distribution systems, and offer on-site training for facility personnel
• Manages the implementation and oversight of an inventory monitoring system
• Abides by or customizes merchandising strategies as per the inventory management system's parameters
• Close scrutiny of returns and obsolescence is necessary for monitors
• Enforces or monitors competitive pricing tactics
• Making price adjustments based on monthly gross margin analysis
• Manages and fine-tunes departmental purchasing and ordering techniques to boost inventory management, turnover ratios, and operational effectiveness
• Regulate and have a comprehensive understanding of the billing system for resident and facility accounts
• Formulates and controls plans for sustained expansion and improvement, adjusting them quarterly as necessary
• Regularly evaluates department scheduling and makes modifications based on facility occupancy demands and delivery schedules
• Supervises and controls extended working hours
• Reviews departmental operations to sustain adherence to pharmacy standards, promoting a consistent work ethic and positive morale within the team
• Inspects all monetary disbursements and enacts revisions to strengthen cash flow regulation
• Safety protocols are consistently upheld within the workplace
• Conducts safety training and monitors compliance with safety measures
• Inspects safety records and implements modifications to improve safety standing
• Controls or completes all personnel functions within the department according to company standards
• Encourages the development and progression of employees within the workforce
• Shows a demonstration of personal integrity, appearance, and ethical business practices that become the yardstick for the behavior of all individuals in the department
