Quality Assurance Associate

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Quality Assurance Associate, you will ensure the store environment is clean, safe, and inviting while minimizing shrink and maintaining compliance with Food Lion standards. Your work directly contributes to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with focus on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Provide courteous and helpful support to fellow associates.
• Sweep and clean floors on nights without scheduled vendor services.
• Perform weekly cleaning of Produce, Market, and Deli Departments.
• Clean and organize the store mop room.
• Identify efficient ways to perform tasks to reduce costs and improve productivity.
• Follow QA daily checklist and sanitation standards.
• Comply with Standard Practices regarding cleanup of hazardous waste products.
• Maintain adherence to all Food Lion policies, guidelines, and standard practices.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge while maintaining a neat and clean appearance.
• Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aids.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical job requirements.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
• Bend and lift up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Push or pull up to 75 lbs. on occasion.
• Stand 100% of the time with frequent walking.
• Handle cleaning and packaging materials, fresh produce, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
• Use hands to handle currency and operate registers, lottery machines, scanners, and calculators.
• Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level, with occasional reaching above or below.
• Meet established volume and activity standards.
• Work in extreme hot or cold conditions for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Possess sufficient visual ability to verify identification, checks, invoices, and other documents.
