Grocery Stock Coordinator are accountable for maintaining the proper stocking and organization of the grocery department's shelves and displays, aiming to create a pleasant and convenient shopping environment for customers. Moreover, they are ready to aid customers in finding items and deliver quality service.
Responsibilities of Grocery Stock Coordinator:
- Support in unloading, stocking, and efficiently organizing grocery goods on shelves and displays.
- Shift stock from the inventory room to the sales floor.
- Unpack cartons and price merchandise correctly as per company guidelines.
- Keep shelves adequately supplied and structured based on assigned tags.
- Assist in setting up storefront installations, endpoint installations, side installations, and budget-friendly wall presentations.
- Rotate perishable stock diligently and remove any out-of-date products promptly.
- Manage the extent of damaged goods by effectively dealing with merchandise.
- Conclude your assigned area's tasks at the conclusion of your scheduled work shift and proceed with the check-out process with the relevant manager.
- Abide by the established practices and protocols for different departments.
- Provide a warm welcome to customers entering the shop and stay attentive while carrying out duties on the floor.
- Abide by the dress code policy set by the company to ensure a smart and well-groomed presentation.
- Observe and adhere to all company rules outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Price maintenance and protection measures aim to preserve pricing integrity and shield against external influences.
- Keeping sales and backroom areas neat and orderly.
- Assist with front-line services when help is needed.
- Round up carts and carefully position them at the front of the store when required.
Qualifications of Grocery Stock Coordinator:
- Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
- Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
- Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
- Must have the ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks in the grocery aisles for proper storage. The top racking process may be 20% of the time working in the aisles during the shift.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
