Job Summary of Shift Manager:

The tasks of this role are crucial in ensuring that the store operates smoothly and efficiently when preparing to close for the day, promoting a positive and well-maintained atmosphere for customers. The Closer aids store leaders in ensuring that all food safety and hygiene protocols are followed, monitoring financial expenditures, and supervising activities related to organizing the stockroom and presenting merchandise.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Shift Manager:

• Take charge of the store management tasks during closing hours.
• Uphold rigorous standards for food safety and sanitation to align with regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local levels, as well as within the framework of company protocols.
• Discover and apply methods to cut expenses by optimizing the usage of supplies and upkeeping equipment efficiently.
• Properly manage and upkeep the grocery backroom to enable smooth product rotation and enhance associate efficiency.
• Oversee the implementation of the company's signage initiative, coordinate weekly product deliveries, manage seasonal merchandise, restock shelves, and handle orders for promotional items.
• Establish a comforting and protective setting for patrons and employees at the conclusion of the day.

Qualifications and Experience of Shift Manager:

• Applicants must have a high school diploma and are encouraged to have some college experience.
• Preference is given to candidates with 2 to 4 years of experience in overseeing grocery retail activities.
• Excellent abilities in interacting with others, making choices, entrusting responsibilities, leading a group, and resolving disputes.
• Accomplished at being available for work at different times, such as evenings.
