Role and Responsibilities of Retail Operations Manager:

Responsibilities include supporting store activities to achieve financial and sales objectives, developing strong connections with associates and customers

• Administer the Grocery Department, covering areas like recruitment, training, and development of employees.
• Manage the department's progress, offer coaching, and conduct structured appraisals.
• Monitor and drive daily labor productivity to meet performance expectations.
• Nurture an ethos that emphasizes exceptional customer service and seeks to enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Manage store expenditures through effective ordering, supply management, and maintenance of equipment.
• Utilize organizational tools including financial statements, ACIS technology, Chief Accounting Officer oversight, scheduling systems, and business information technology.
• Keep up with maintaining the department's look, safety measures, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Develop meticulous timetables to ensure consistent availability for extraordinary customer assistance.
• Administer the oversight of merchandise ordering, receiving, preparation, and presentation.
• Provide guidance and coaching to associates on preventing shrinkage.
• Participate in semiyearly physical inventory counts to help maintain accurate product quantities.
• Comply with advertising and signage standards as stipulated by local, state, and federal regulations.
• Comply with safety standards and promptly report any incidents involving coworkers and customers.
• Satisfactorily participate in and complete all Computer-Based Training (CBT) and other essential training programs.
• Acknowledge successes and offer constructive coaching when warranted.
• Execute supplementary duties as requested.

Required Skills and Experience of Retail Operations Manager:

• A high school diploma or a similar level of education is preferred.
• Displays strong interpersonal capabilities, organizational talent, effective communication, and dedication to exceptional customer service.
• Experience in overseeing store activities is preferred.
• Talent for comprehending and fulfilling multiple tasks and technical obligations within the position.
• Competency in resolving issues and efficiently using technical data.
• Leadership skills that involve directing and guiding individuals under supervision.
• Compliance with the designated age limitations is necessary for certain job functions.
• A primary requirement for this role is holding the title of Certified Food Safety Manager, or the flexibility to acquire this certification within a 90-day period upon commencing employment and continuously uphold this qualification.

Physical Requirements of Retail Operations Manager:

• Skillful utilization of computers and communication systems for job performance.
• Execute functions like ordering, discounting, and inventory control through the utilization of handheld devices.
• Maintain a standing position for prolonged periods and frequently walk brief distances.
• Easily transport items up to 2000 lbs. with a pallet jack or float by utilizing the option to push or pull the load.
• Continuously handling items up to 15 lbs. involves bending and lifting 25 lbs. frequently, along with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs.
• Carry out continual hand and arm gestures, including reaching and grasping activities.
• Sort cleaning materials, packing components, and residential cleaning agents.
• Sustain performance levels in environments with extreme temperatures for up to 20 minutes.
• Satisfy the prearranged metrics for volume and efficiency standards.
• Sharp visual acumen for accurately understanding invoices, dates, and different paperwork.
