Responsibilities of Store Driver:

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Makes an effort to learn customers names and to address them by name whenever possible.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Delivers products to customers, collects payment, and makes change for payment when necessary.
• Returns payments and beginning cash to store.
• Maintains food and groceries at proper temperature in accordance with food safety standards and to ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
• Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Assists in other areas of store as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
• Facilitates the maintenance and upkeep to delivery vehicles.

Qualifications of Store Driver:

• No specific educational attainment required.
• It is important to have a driver's license that is valid and does not have any DOT restrictions
• To drive a company car, individuals need to meet the age requirement of 18 years old.
• Skillful in verbal and written communication, with a knack for building strong interpersonal relationships
• Being skilled at fostering connections and interacting with people in a friendly, professional manner, the skill to recognize problems, develop and execute solutions, and the ability to understand and adhere to verbal or demonstrated instructions

Physical requirements of Store Driver:

• The skill to discern detail at close distances, regardless of the need for correction, is an important aspect of near-range vision
• Demonstrates the ability to undertake medium work: intermittently lifting or moving objects weighing a maximum of 50 pounds, with frequent requirements for standing, walking, and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Capability to conduct a range of physical tasks like bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, gripping, feeling, communicating, hearing, and performing repetitive motions, along with the ability to get in and out of a delivery vehicle numerous times daily, climb staircases, and navigate rough terrain to reach delivery destinations.
