Role and Responsibilities:
The Deli Clerk plays a crucial role in creating customer loyalty by delivering excellent service in the deli department. Primary responsibilities include:
Customer Service: Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly and courteously, attending to their needs continuously.
Product Knowledge: Offer product suggestions and demonstrate expertise in deli offerings.
Stocking & Rotation: Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness and proper date control; use supplies efficiently to minimize waste and manage costs.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate deli equipment and tools according to guidelines.
Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; report any hazards or equipment issues to management immediately.
Reporting Issues: Notify management of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or policy violations.
Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Capable of understanding and following instructions in English.
Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
