Job Summary of Shift Lead Representative:

The Shift Lead Representative is tasked with directing the daily tasks of store team members when the Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers are unavailable during assigned shifts.They are responsible for managing store operations, including opening and closing the store at scheduled times, safeguarding store assets and funds, and overseeing employee performance during their shifts.In addition, the Shift Lead Representative assists the store management team in preserving store conditions, maintaining quality, implementing safety measures, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring sanitation compliance.Superior customer service is a key focus for the Shift Lead Representative, who must execute all job duties following company policies and guidelines. When a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is present, the Shift Lead reverts to their primary job description duties as specified.

Responsibilities of Shift Lead Representative:

• Tasked with starting and finishing store procedures based on predetermined guidelines
• Oversees and regulates the day-to-day tasks conducted by the store team members across all departments.
• Engages in friendly and courteous conversations with customers
• Resolves customer dissatisfaction by arranging exchanges and processing refunds
• Logs complaints and carries out follow-up procedures to rectify the underlying problem
• Undertakes front end administrative functions such as cash counting, preparing the cash register, depositing and withdrawing cash, verifying register totals, and processing gift card sales and returns
• Delivers findings from electronic store reports to the Store Manager for assessment and decision-making
• Manages cashiering and stocking duties when they arise
• Communicates employee problems, such as disciplinary actions, cash discrepancies, attendance records, performance evaluations, and substantial customer grievances, to the Store Manager or District Manager
• Prompt attention is given to vendors, which includes managing the reception of shipments and deliveries
• Supervising inventory levels within all departments encompasses duties like restocking and organizing produce, managing meat supplies, checking expiration dates when necessary, and refilling milk and eggs as needed
• Confirms that the store is compliant with the health and safety standards mandated by the company
• Manages emergencies by appropriately carrying out evacuation procedures
• Defends the company's property, finances, and goods against any harm
• - Confirms the adherence to daily loss prevention practices
• Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the store, performing cleaning tasks consistently throughout the work period
• Takes on the responsibility of being the first point of contact for media and regulatory visitors, guiding them to the Store Manager
• Participates in panel interviews without the ability to determine hiring outcomes
• Handles supplementary duties as assigned, which could involve working across different departments

Qualification of Shift Lead Representative:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comprehensive product knowledge and the ability to train other team members
• Previous training / supervisory experience a plus
• Company work history will be strongly considered, including attendance, work performance, safety, policy compliance and performance management
• Proficiency in basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication, interpersonal skills
• Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
• Must be dependable and flexible
• Ability to travel to multiple work locations
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Must adhere to uniform dress code

Physical Requirements of Shift Lead Representative:

• Successful candidates will need to be capable of lifting, bending, carrying, and moving objects ranging from 20 to 50 lbs throughout their workday
• The ability to remain upright, ambulate, or engage in movement for a prolonged duration is a must
• Needs the capability to exert pressure, move, clasp, rotate, and utilize sawing movements for an extended period
• Frequently works in frigid areas, cooled sections, refrigerated enclosures, both indoors and outdoors at the establishment under any weather circumstances, and while inside delivery vans
