Job Summary of Maintenance Worker:

This position supports the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of the office environment. Responsibilities include general cleaning, light HVAC work, small facility repairs, and event support. The individual serves as a team lead for janitorial operations and acts as a backup when staffing issues arise. A focus on safety, organization, and timely task execution is key to success in this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance Worker:

• Manage light maintenance duties within buildings such as painting, mounting items, routing electrical wiring, and relocating machinery.
• Handle primary HVAC care responsibilities like replacing filters.
• Complete regular cleaning tasks involving sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Help with the preparation and cleanup of meeting and event locations.
• Keep inventory records of cleaning supplies updated and report on restocking needs accordingly.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations for a secure work environment.
• Help ensure the outdoor area is well-kept by assisting with tasks such as snow removal and landscape maintenance.
• Take on the position of team lead for the janitorial staff and provide coverage during callouts or staffing shortfalls.
• Assist in coordinating parking lot services, preparing for events, and overseeing security measures during gatherings.
• Aid in handling cold weather challenges by salting and removing snow from walkways and paths.
• Services offered include assistance with office and cubicle moves, equipment setup, and minor repair jobs.
• Attend to supplementary tasks delegated by department supervisors promptly.

Qualifications and Experience of Maintenance Worker:

• A high school diploma or its comparable equivalent is a compulsory qualification.
• Preference is given to individuals with a trade school educational background.
• Applicants are expected to have maintenance experience within the range of one to two years, with a preference for candidates with three to four years of experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively through speech and writing.
